I know you gotta take big risks when you're a small market team, but I worry about giving up a massive haul for 1 year of Beal.
If we get him near the deadline this season, I'm not even sure it's fair to count this season as it'll be a lost season. So we get 1 season of Beal, and I'm just not sure he'd re-up with us, that makes me nervous.

Yeah, I don't want him for that reason. He's got a connection to DC which would lead him to saying he wants to stick it out there despite sucking, he's got no connection here. Even if we're good with him next year, we're not title good.

We have a good chance to beat out most offers. I highly doubt the Warriors put Wiseman and that Minny pick up. That'll be the most expensive team in history.
I'm really worried Denver will push all their chips in the middle of the table and put Porter Jr. in a deal. That's the young talent that can trump a boat load of picks.

Maybe im alone here, but I really don't think this is the right time to push all our chips in. I think Griffin would be pulling an early desperation move by doing so.
Trade away Lonzo and JJ for whatever future assets you can and go the youth route this year. Start giving Kira, NAW, BI, Zion and Jax some run together. All losing does is put us in the Cade sweepstakes.
I hope we are patient and smart about this.

I mean what good is a 'warchest' if you dont use it. The picks probably become less valuable over time. I dont like having to hope for something to happen for those picks to become of value.
We dont seem to have any direction. I just dont know what the alternative is. We will never be able to get a Beal type any other way
